How we are paid
How we are paid depends on the type and scope of work we do for you.
When we receive a new enquiry we usually invite potential new clients to come to our offices for a preliminary meeting. The purpose of the meeting is further understand the prospective client's specific objectives and requirements and, if we feel able to help, to outline how we would do so.
There is no charge for this preliminary meeting and no obligation on either side.
By the end of this initial free consultation we will agree with you the scope of work we will be doing for you and how we will be paid for that work. Depending on the type of work we carry out you may pay us a fee, or we might be paid out of the cost of any financial product you buy (commission) or in some circumstances we might agree a mixture of both.
Whether we take our remuneration by way of commission or fees will be a matter of discussion and agreement between us and no charges or fees will be made without prior notification to you in writing.
Where we do not conduct a particular type of business for which you have a need, eg mortgages, we may introduce you to another firm who may be able to help you.
